In March 1980 Yachts supported The Who on their stadium tour of Europe, including Munich's massive Olympiahalle. Bit of a shock when used to playing to 100 people in London's Hope & Anchor to be then confronted by tens of thousands of Who fans, not bothered about the support act!
Do I sense a slight air of trepidation on my face in the picture below, "the comdemned men ate a hearty meal"; also these were amongst the first dates we did with new bass player Glyn Havard.
Had a ball though, and to watch The Who every night from such close quarters was great (see my photos), and despite the fights/breaking glass/raised voices we could hear coming from their dressing room, they were lovely to us! :-)

The exercise regime continues: this week accompanied by the lush music of the Moody Blues...never the coolest of bands, but I always had a soft spot for their cod-psych/prog-lite classic gate-folded albums (from ISotLC to Seventh Sojourn)...
