Time for an update, I feel, (apologies to anyone on my mailing list who might have already received this info)
It’s been a crazy year on the road, I think I’ll have clocked up nearly 60 gigs by December. Thanks to all of you who have attended a gig, and especially those who’ve booked me for housegigs; they’ve been brilliant, and are continuing to come in at an alarming rate (5 already in for next year).
Have to thank my regular partner-in-crime, guitarist Les Glover (aka Loved up Les™), who’s helped make the gigs so enjoyable…we are having the time of our lives, literally, and I think the pic below illustrates this.
Re the filmed gig at Settle Victoria Hall for future DVD release…it was a brilliant, if chaotic occasion (but I thrive on chaos!), bringing together three different line-ups who’d never played together before: Les, plus “The Men of A Certain Age featuring Pip the Younger” (Martin Peirson, Peter Robinson & Pip Jopling), and also Ben Hughes…to say nothing of grabbing Michelle Plum and Nick Hall from support band Plumhall to join us on the odd number. The good people at Sandbox Digital are editing it at the moment, and all being well it should come out early next year – mind you, my track record for getting things released on schedule isn’t exactly good…wasn’t my follow-up to “The Chronicles of Modern Life” meant to come out in 2010?..and it finally came out this year!
